The new freistil 130 has a box spring construction where the mattress virtually floats on an area of metal springs. When you lie on it, the pressure can be distributed in far smaller sections than is the case with a slatted frame. What´s more, the design of freistil 130 makes it looser than the traditional rather rigid box spring beds. We make visual allusion to the classic mattresses of the past: broad fabric tucks ("bourles") that here look as if they are fluttering gently; and heads or tufts (a kind of bobble with a few wool threads) that decorate the headboard.
