The small solid wood freistil 153 tables flow with the same energy, spirit and feel that characterise the freistil 155 and 156 collections. Wood is a living material, and the joins of solid wood furniture “breathe”, which means they are subject to natural movement. This is why the top of each cone leg will always project a little – sometimes more, sometimes less. Wood is a material that has its own ideas – it does not follow the rules of technology. The freistil 153, too, is as strong-minded as it is unique. You can use it as a small side table in front of the sofa or as a stool. It brings both a connection to nature and the strong tradition of 19th-century craftsmanship to the living room of the 21st century.
